• Understands the key cost drivers in delivering service.
• Understands performance measurements for service components
• Familiar with key monitoring requirements and tools and techniques employed in supporting Infrastructure/applications
• Knowledge of all major support tools for a service environment.

Job Description:

• Adapts style to optimise overall team performance; works effectively with people across a wide range of disciplines and levels
• Deals comfortably with ambiguity and uncertainty; effective at working with unstructured situations and environments;
• Plan effectively resources and budget according to HR and finance business processes
• Delivers feedback and coaches accordingly and encourages knowledge sharing

Required Skills:

• Familiar with GISD's technology strategy and direction and major IT initiatives
• Can describe the overall function of several components in the technical platform
• Competent to discuss the underlying technology with a vendor first line response team
• Can identify and interpret key policies, standards and procedures affecting own area
• Can describe the major roles and responsibilities of the IT function
• Can discuss specific technology application opportunities in own area
